    95 SLT750 MFD Question

    Hey gang,

Have a '95 SLT750. Can anyone tell me if the MFD is supposed to go to sleep after X minutes of "inactivity?" If so, how many minutes? I read the service manual, and it gives pretty good details about both types of diplays (1 & 2 - mine is type 1). It even provides footnotes for each of the features identifying which of the two display types they apply to.....EXCEPT the sleep mode!!! (It figures).

Mine seems to work fine, but I left it alone with the battery connected for a few hours today and when I came back, it appeared to still be fully on.

Just wondering what it should look like in "sleep" mode. Wondering if this behavior is normal for this year/model, and if not, what (if anything) can I do to correct it?

    Thanks!!!

Five minutes after last 'activity' (any button press, or engine start/stop).

Clock, Fuel & Oil levels continue to be displayed during 'Auto-Off' sleep mode.

I think the Trim position and speed indicators go blank when the MFD is sleeping.

Pressing a button, or touching the Engine Start, should wake it up, and you can see what changes when it wakes (if it was sleeping).

Anybody have good comparison pictures of their MFD awake, and asleep?

    Thanks K447!

For some reason, I assumed it went completely blank when it went to sleep. I'll pay more attention to it next time and see if I can tell the difference between the two modes.

    Thanks!
