Riva S3 SC and A/F Ratio

OK... has anyone ever experienced or measured a lean condition running the following:

    S3 SC
    42 lb. injectors
    External IC
4" air intake (front or rear)
    Stock ECU

    Thanks for any input,

    Jeff

Rick, you'll be fine with that set up.

I have that exact setup. I always assumed I was running on the rich, but my plugs look to be more on the lean side. . . again this is just a plug reading not a factional AF reading.

On paper, it should be a little leaner than optimal, but safe. The stock ECU sends a "static open" signal to the injectors around 9 psi boost, depending on temperature. So, anything beyond that and the ECU is "running blind". Additional boost will only lean it out further.

That said, there are several folks on the "4-tec speeds and mods" list that are running upper 70's, even 80 mph with the very combo you stated.

Lean is mean... rich is a *itch... proper ratio is like proper *ellatio

OK... lets say one were to take the afore mentioned set up and add the RR racing ECU... would it be lean, a *itch, or blown properly?

    Jeff, stay OFF the limiter...
I burned up my exhaust manifold with the same set up was running 8260 for a short period. Just be sure you are propped for 8000-8080 and you'll be fine.

I don't know if they changed the 215 package but the 255 does not go open on boost, it does go open on RPM @8100. It would be interesting to know if you could reflash a 215 ECU to 255 specs.
