    2-degree wedge for 15F

Has anyone added a 2-degree wedge to their 15F?

This site has it for $90:

    http://www.atvparts.biz/jet-ski-parts/product/A41.html

My buddy that has a Ultra 250 said that for his ski, you can add the Ultra LX's wedge. Is that possible for the 15F as well? This part is only $16 from a dealership.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

yea i have the wedge fromatvparts.biz. very nice piece, come w/ instructions and hardware.works best with stock rideplate. i dont think you can use the LX wedge on the 15F because the if i remember right they have different diameter pumps.

it angles the pump nozzle up, which in turn lifts the front of the boat - less wet area/drag = more speed.

wont it decrease the amount of thrust though? being that its not really "shooting straight" anymore? any signifigant gains on a stock ski?

its only 2 degrees, but i have heard of someone here complaining about that. the only reason i did not get it, is because i ride in chop and i "hear" it causes too much porpoising.

    Is it sold anywhere else?

It is an R&D part correct? Because I couldn't find it on their site

RD does not make a wedge for the 15f. i am pretty sure the one from atvparts.biz is manufactured by them or sold exclusively by them. someone correct me if i am wrong.

Aggresser is the productor of 2° wedge pump for 15f.

Wedge of Lx can't go on 15f pump because :

    15f : 148mm pump diameter
    Lx : 155mm pump diameter

With 2° wedge you increase your speed because angles the pump nozzle up, which in turn lifts the front of the boat. very good in flat water...

But in chop, you lost speed because your nose jump up... you must change your balance and put your weight on the nose...
