Bed liner on the hull....
Hey, anyone out there try out sprayon bed liner on their hull... I live and ride on a river in Oregon and after my last run in with a gravel bar and the beating my gellcoat took I'm thinking seriously about trying it... I got the idea from my rescue boat operater instructor... My rig is a 07 ultra 250, if it costs me a bit of speed so be it... Any insight or thoughts would be great...

it's gonna cost you speed, added weight and it's gonna be a bitch to get on and off your trailer

Good point... I was thinking only of wrapping the keel area where the areas of likely contact are below where it rests on the trailer and dolly... Going to have to think about this a bit more... some of the liners are a bit smoother then others....

well ya may not find anyone willing to do it. I wanted to do the lower front valance of my truck and they said since it was plastic it might not hold and did not want to try. maybe too small of a job?

i had the same issue getting a place to spray plastic...
i had one shop willing to work with me and experiment... it will not stick to polyethylene... and it only did a mediocre job adhereing to some ABS stuff even after a very aggressive roughing up and scratching it down before applying... it covered and stuck, but with a little abuse u could see it start to want to crack and flake in sporadic places it didn't get a good bond
