    Handlebar Extensions and Cover!

Ordered the Finger throttle kit yesterday from 4-tec, and it occured to me when I was putting my cover on last night that there is no way in Hale that I will be able to get this cover(SD Stock 05 RXP Cover) on the Doo with handlebar extensions in place. Any suggestions?
    TIA

The Riva handlebar extension go on after you put the cover on.

    Thank you......but

    CBRich,
You seem to be offering me mucho helpo (tool kit help yesterday )and it is appreciated. I actually mean the travel cover for my SD, not the Handlebar cover. The travel cover I have is the Stock SD RXP cover with the Hand Drawn image of a SKI and it is SUper Tight in the handlebars as is, so I am sure that I will RIP something if I try to get that over the Extended bars once they are installed......
Any ideas? What is everyone using for a cover that has Extensions of the UMI setup? I store outside under my deck in the summer......

cut about a 5" x 5" or so square out of the cover where the end of the handle bars fit into the little pocket on the cover, then sew with some thick a** thread a heavy duty, durable strechy material into the square and the exstensions will fit into (and stretch out) the stretchy material and youll be golden

    i hope

    Thanks for the heads up.

I will check into some prices and see if the quilt work is going to save me a buck.

Newer model cover or go to a upholstery or canopy shop and have one of the pockets extended. Find out from your local marina where the mobile guy that fixes boat covers and such is located. I just cut a hole in one of the pockets and let one of the grips stick out a few inches (the none throttle side).

    Thumbs up

This is the exact same problem I went through a couple weeks ago. I ended up cutting a hole and exposing a few inches of one end of my handlebars. I"m not really worried about the end of my handlebar and it was a quick fix.

Or, spend the money and get a new cover like others have said.

    Good Luck
