question about gpr tripple pipes ?

hey. i just finished my jetski build and i put tripple pipes on my gpr1300 and they are leaking around the O-rings where the pipes slide into the manifold. does anyone have any suggestions on how or what to use to stop it from leaking?

It's like a rope type string that goes in around the inside there, you need that, riva has that.

Gumgum is thick paste, more like a clay than paste.

aka: Exhaust Repair Putty, Exhaust Sealant Putty, Exhaust Repair Paste

Used when new exhausts are fitted on cars to prevent leaks where the pipes connect together.

Buy new O-rings from Factory Pipe, they are relatively cheap and replace all 9 of them. Use the recommended grease as you slide them back. You will also have to replace the Kevlar gasket that the pipes seal into the flanges...these are where leaking is most likely taking place.

Clean everything thoroughly before installing the pipes/o-rings/gaskets back in. You don't want worn out liquified grease pouring out of the pipes.

If you don't have the updated springs..get them, they have some heavy duty springs that will keep good tension on the pipes. I actually used a super thick one for the front pipe because of it's "extra" vibration characteristics.

Hope that helps..if you need anymore info, you can call me.

New O-rings, Kevlar gasket and updated springs just like Mike says!!

These pipes were designed to move around on rubber lord mounts to reduce fatigue cracking. Paste is just going to blow out and make a giant mess.
