Deep Fuel Pick Up
I have read the past threads on this and I still have a few quesitons.
Is R&D the only aftermarket D.F. P/U???? Does Kawasaki have one?
Will putting in an aftermarket p/u void my warranty?
I am very disgruntled with the mileage on my 250x

They sell paddles at your local sporting goods store. The p/u is a piece of cake to put on.

I dont freaking get it,what do you expect? its a 250 hp super charged 1000 lb jet ski, with the Deep Fuel pick up you will get about 80 miles to a tank, if you want fuel econmy get a 800 cc 75 hp jet ski......................

Remember that extracting maximum mileage requires knowing how far you can run past zero fuel bars (as TN has explained before).
I have not yet run dry but I believe that 80 mile figure if youre comfortable running below zero bars and mix up the speeds.
My 08 strategy is to carry 101 octane (can only buy at one place in county) and mix with marina gas to stay at minimum 92.

With the deep fuel pickup i went 85 miles before it shut off. This was cruising between 35-50 MPH's with occassional WOT. This was on a 07 so maybe an 08 will do a little better. I don't suggest running your ski until it runs out of gas as there is always the possibility of damaging the motor (low probability) but I wanted to see how much fuel I had left after the buzzer went off. And yes I know I could have just went to the gas station filled it up and noted the gallons I put in to see how much gas was left but I wanted to see when the engine would die and get a "true" number.
