    Fiberglass repair

So my dad hit one parked rxp while riding the other last weekend. Long story short i ended up with a nice peice of gel coat missing(about 2 inches by 4 inches) right out of the keel. I got an estimate to fix it at the fiberglass shop and they want 740$. This seems a little steep. Anyone on here have experience fixing this suff tell me your thoughts. Can i fix it myself? what all is involved? I have included some pictures below.

well i just got another estimate for $130. The the first place that bid $740 talked about having to replace about a one square foot area due to stress cracks and the second place did not. Now i dont know what im looking for but i cant see any stress cracks. Can anyone else with better knowledge see any in the pics?
