    Smokin SL750

I just took my stock 94 sl750 to the river after changing to the tripple output fuel pump. The ski runs great!! Starts up with no problems, it has great acceleration and I was able to hit 53 mph per the MFD The only issue is that the ski is smokin more than Cheech and Chong . I dont seem to notice at high speeds but when I'm in the no wake zones and at lower RPMs its smokes more than any other two stroke on the lake. This model dosent seem to have the varible adjustment for the oil pump like some models. Is this normal for my setup or is there anything else that would cause the ski to smoke excessivly? The oil, gas, and plugs were new and after several hours of riding the issue continued. I know there is a block off for the oil pump but with only 84 hours on the ski I was trying to avoid any major mods.

I thought they were all variable pumps. Could yours be in default and pumping the max amount?

Could a variable flow oil pump be added to the pre-1995 engines?

    What would be involved?

Im sure it could. You would need the pump the linkage and the carb linkage plate.

Switch to a synthetic and you will greatly reduce the smoking at idle. I've been using Amsoil and I'm pretty sure I cut the smoke by more than half.
I don't recall if the have a smokeless dino oil.
