    Performance Tips

Whats up green hulk community, n00bie here, just bought two jetskis, got a awesome deal on them, one is a polaris SL 780 and the other is a 750. I like to upgrade my toys and this is my first time owning a PWC, can anyone give me advice on where to start at upgrading them? Im looking for more HP. any advice is appreciated. And also where I can find performance parts for a great price. So far I have found K&N filter for the first mod.. lol.

The mod guys stay up all night playing with their rides so it takes them a while to get here. LOL

Search the section under Mods, it should list what a lot of members have done to their boats and most of the homework has already been done. If nothing else it's a great starting point and full of ideas many haven't even thought of...

Here's a starting point for the 750,HP and Speed is money...lucky for us the Polaris's are a little cheaper then most.

    http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/show...ghlight=single

    Aftermarket reeds,porting,bigger carbs,aftermarket head,or modded heads,aftermarket exhaust,Aftermarket F/A's,pump improvements,ride plates........It all can be done.

I'd start with reeds, flame arretor,Have Randy work the heads, put the 780 cdi in the 750 and get an 785 cdi for the 780, different impeller. If that's not enough look into porting, boring the carbs, and aftermarket exhaust. There's usually more mods than money, spend until it hurts.

how much more HP can I get max with these models? I know it depends on the parts and mods used, but stock for these is at least 50-55mph... can I prolly get a rough estimate?

    Welcome to the Hulk Brad.

May I suggest getting hull and jet pump parts first.

They will gain you more speed and handling without even touching the engine.

They are usually CHEAPER to get vs. performance engine parts too.

And they are only enhanced by engine upgrades as well.

First, what year 780 and model is that? 780 make 92+ HP stock

The 750 makes 80 HP and would need alot to play catch up. BUT, definately get a new triple outlet fuel pump for the 750. The 780 already has one from the factory.

Replace all fuel lines and thoroughly clean the carb internals.

Since the 750 has less HP and better accel (due to different cylinder timing) I'd suggest setting the 750 up for a wave jumping play ski. With the 780 set up for top speed. Best of both worlds IMO.

The 780 is a 97 SL and the 750 is a 96, what hull design you suggest? I seen on a site (correct me if I'm wrong) a supercharged turbine for pwc's? I believe the lines have been replaced in both.

I would sell one, put your $500-1000 into a bigger cc polaris(1050 or 1200 slx). Then save up later to mod the bigger cc one. Let it be yours and the other for your gf or other friends to putt around on. At least a modded 1050 or 1200 polaris is respectable speedwise on the lake.
