Exclamation Trust Factor / Trust System

I've said this several times. Don't screw people on the forum. There are too many of us PWC junkies that looks for parts and "we" scour Ebay like a hawk. Many of us know each others Ebay ID as well as first name. This forum is mainly built on the "Trust Factor". So, if your are attempting to sell parts, please be open honest and trustworthy. Do what it takes to make it right when dealing with transactions.

I think I personally "give" more parts away, new/old just to keep that trust here. thats just me. I know many member give away their services and parts to keep customers happy and forum members dedicated.

So in a nutshell, it's upsetting to see sour deals go down on the forum. Then more so when we find out more information about the seller in ebay or craigslist.

nuff sed.....I'm off my soapbox now.

Here are some examples of deals gone sour or items being sold from forum members with discrepant information

I do the same. I give my stock/unused parts away to forum members. Why let them collect dust on the shelf?

Mike RXTman got screwed from RXPt400. He sent him a STG III SCer that was locked down with 6 spring washers. It snapped and screwed up his motor. Couple thousand latter it has been fixed...

Ive been tossed around a couple times also. Here is my new rule:

1-only buy from members that you know and has a good rep
2-if you do buy from an 'unknown',make sure you have friends that live close to him
3-if your not 100% sure of the person, get you payment first
4-if you sell something, send them detailed descriptions and pics before the deal is made
5-dont take personal checks unless you know the person good

I sold a part to a forum member a while back.It was brand new.I did not look at the part before sending it.The part turned out to be a crappy piece and the other party was not happy with me.It was my fault for not checking the part before i sent it.I felt like chit! I did everything i could to make it right.I will help this member out in any way i can from now on.I still feel bad about the deal.Even if a part is new, doesnt make it a good part.

Thanks Billy, this is a good thread.
