    fuel filter question

    on my 96 waveraider 700 i need to change the in line fuel filter. do i have to use the $25 one from yamaha or can i use a universal one from auto zone as long as the inlet/outlet knobs are the same? thank in advance?

    The Yamaha ones also act as a water seperator, I would use it.

    Yeah I would stick with the Yamaha filters but they are PAINFUL. I just bought one for a 99 XL1200 and it retailed for, I think, $26.95...a hard pill to swallow even tough I get 20% off of that!!

    Riva sells then cheaper $15 get the number, then buy it through the store here for a 10% discount

    That is nice to know I had to get some plugs that I could not find anywhere in town (NGKBR8ES-11) so I had to go to the dealer. I made an impulse buy on the filter...never again though. Thanks Oside
