01 XLT1200 help....
Boat has tripple pipes, with advent, tuned carbs whole nine yards, startup on hose you get wtemp, i thought it was cause the exhaust didnt allow fitment of the 02 sensor or some other sensor which looks identical to me. i called R&D and they told me the cat chip thingy would fix it but it didnt. now that i read its for OE computer only so that guy didnt know what he was saying i guess.
does the advent already make up for no 02 sensor??
do i need to install that other sensor in a water line somewhere to get that light warning to go out???

You can turn the sensors off with the advent.

in gpr's its in the big black box up the back screwed to the battery tray.....its normally referred to as the CDI, open up that black box (CDI) or its XL equivilent and inside of that is were the advent lives.
to turn the sensors on and off is very easy via dip switches...
make sure you put it back together right because its one place you really dont want water seeping in

well i got to the computer and the sensors were already turned off. so is the wtemp warning normal then??
does anyone know anybody that has a similar setup?

What is telling you its water temp ? There are a few symbols that show up on the LCD display...If there is anything going off it is not normal.
The Advent is now monitoring those sensors if they are off you should not be getting any errors.

it clearly says wtemp on the display with a red flashing led on the left....sensors are unplugged and advent is switched properly, they guy says it goes away after riding, just havent been able to try that yet,
