Any reason why I see more B Kits than Cs?
Im curious why the majority of the people who run les cookes parts use the b kit over the c kit at least it seems that way and price doesn't seem like the problem.
Also the modified header what exactly is done to it, I never hear anyone talking about it either.

Excess: The "C", as per Les himself, is a very touchy, more delicate piece of machinery. The tolerances are tighter and it is more prone to failure/damage. The extra 5 or so hp it gives isn't worth the reduced reliability.
When you refer to the header, do you mean the cutting of the j pipe? If so, that is to reduce the backpressure since you're running a lot more boost.

on his site it just says header pipe modified which I am still curious about.
Is it tough or long to order one of these from him?
How do you guys go about getting one, does he charge you a core and then send yours, you send yours in for the work, buy the whole charger, etc. How long does it take you guys with either method to get it in?

Excess - There are some people of this board who sell them now.-Stickem (Frank) If you look on Les' site: seadoocentre.com,all the prices are in Aussi dollars or about .74 US dollars.
I'm not sure about his turn around time if you send yours out there, but it is definitely cheaper. But, for customs purposes, it's easier to just order a new one.
I also think there are other simliar U.S. products in the works right now.
BTW - the modified header IS the j-pipe cut.
Here is a old link on the j-pipe:

I originally tried the C kit and it sucked! It produces about 100 more degrees of heat than the B kit therefore the B kit out performed it hands down.

Unfortunately, Les doesn't do core swaps. He will only modify your s/c.

found the kit locally through Brian at BT, BDNJ is there an exact distance where he recommends to cut the J Pipe?
I noticed on Les's ski his exhaust runs straight out the back of the waterbox did you ever talk to him about this and what could be gained from it?
