Are these any good? I have a chance to pick one up in a trade and would like to know about these. It seems to be in perfect cosmetic shape and I'll ride it Saturday . I need your advice and opinons.
    Thanks

At the time, the fastest ski on the market (next to the XPL). The 99 model year (97.5-99) is the one the get, as they had most of the 951 motor bugs worked out by then...Its a rider's ski, so the more you work the hull the more it responds...Its perfect for small lake and river riding, and is fun to jump and play...

Just make sure the following is done, or will be done...
    - exhaust leak update (rubber around the manifold)
    - all the main fuel lines have been or should be swapped out (no gray tempo)

If its all stock, there are a few things you can do to make it a real joy...
    - higher compression head and rejetted carbs, about 12-15 more HP...
    - new prop to work with new power...
    - intake grate, either Solas for monster hookup or Worx for more topend
    - sponsons, make the hull carve like a knife
    - seat cover, so you don't slide off from turning hard

Having owned several skis, including that one, it was one of my favorites...Here are some pics of mine, it was after the motor blew up. Problem was traced to a faulty oil injection, the unit starved the motor of oil and it threw a bearing on the crank...
