    Quick carb question...

I am in need of a carb for a 1994 Seadoo XP. Are all carbs from the 580/587 the same as long as they are off the white engine not the yellow?

A friend of mine got a ski with a blown engine and brought it to a dealer for a new one. It has an aftermarket carb on it and Seadoo won't warranty the engine without a stock one so I really need to find one if anyone knows of one around.

Why would anyone warranty a 14 year old ski?

They may not work on it fearing the carbs caused the problem initially.

Seadoo will warranty it because it is a brand new engine, but they won't do anything unless I find a stock carb.

I need to know if the 587 carbs are interchangeable or if it has to come from a 94-96 SP.
