    Carb. transfer slots?

    What are these so called transfer slots on my carb intake manifold and what will it do if I block them off on my GP1200. tim

    They are grooves on the manifold like transfers or valleys ! I thought about the filling mod also but I didn't like What Addicted had to say , it caused his N&S to dribble! thats a lot of work for a bad result! He has one for sale cheap if u want to try it?? ps there are 2 transfers! 1 at the carb adapter and 1 at the area that the reeds bolt on , I am not sure but would guess this mod applies to the carb adapter area only?

    It sounds like I might leave that one alone, I was hoping that there was some kind of performance to be had. Thanks tim g.
