'05 RXP won't start please help

Hi all this is my first post here at green hulk, looks like a great forum!

Well I stumbled accross this forum because I was having a tough time getting the wet bike started. Its a 2005 seadoo RXP. Was running great earlier this summer now I just can't get it started. Plug in the key and it beeps just as annoyingly as ever, push the start button and all I hear is click, push it again,"click". Took the battery and hooked it up to the charger last night. Put in today and again, click! Not sure if this makes a difference but the battery was awful warm when I took it off the charger.

Well anyhow any troubleshooting ideas would be great. She was running like a top earlier this summer now I just look at it on the lift in the lake and get depressed please help!

    Thankyou
    Chad Fleahman

I think your battery has a shorted cell. Take it to an auto parts store and have them check it. Check the online store for some new battery options.

There's a relay mounted on the side of MPEM in the front left of the ski. It's a light brown color. Take that off, bring it to your local dealership and tell them to give you a new one. It'll cost about $40 and should fix your problem.

You can jump your skis battery to another as long as the other vehicle is not running. Your starter will only draw the aperage it needs. This was comfirmed in another thread.

How many amps did you charge the battery with? If you used over 2-amps, you may have fried the battery. Using 6-amps for more than an hour or so is bad. Most use 1 to 2-amp trickle chargers... Ron
