Title Says 74 HP for RXT
I had to have my ski retitled since I bought it as a bank repo and when I got the new title in the mail from Texas parks and wildlife all the information is correct however it says it has 74 horse power. Any Idea why this would be and also would it be wise to have this changed or is it not a big deal? Any ones elses say this?

I am the second owner, clear regular title

Well at least I'm not the only one. Do you think it should be changed or not a big deal?

My title says 15 hp. LOL
The owner before me said he had this done to get cheaper insurance.

I'd leave it and go to your insurance company to try to get a lower premium.

It is for insurance purposes, however, I took my 185 hp to State Farm and Progressive...They asked...
Horsepower, 155, 185 or 215? 185.
It seems when they input the data in the computer, the computer automatically asks the next question. State Farm and Progressive new. Progressive significantly cheaper BTW.

For insurance...I would hate for something extremely bad (and it did to me less than 1 month after I purchased ski) and your insurance company would not want to pay because they find out that the ski is not 74 or 77 HP. Is the liability on the state for inputting that data, or you, the owner for not catching it, or proofreadin it.
Guys, my sister-in-law (age 15 at the time) died on a tubing accident when it was hooked up to my ski just 3 weeks after I bought it. Although I was not driving, my insurance paid my father-in-law and his family the total amount of the policy. I pay $35 a month. That happened in late July 2005. I am still paying $35 a month...3 years later. Get the correct insurance...you never know.

That is too bad, was anyone doing anything wrong or was it just a freak accident?
That must be a rough situation...good though that you did have the right insurance, you do not want to find out after the fact that you do not.
