Removing OPAS does effect handling a little. You can use 1/2" schedule 20 pvc pipe and make your own prop ups. Cut about 1 15/16" long and cut out a lenthwise cut about 3/8". Hold the OPAS up and pop them on and try it. I sorta liked the prop up but had to get rid of OPAS entirely when I went to thru hull exhaust. I did mount Jerry's skegs and had absolutely no handling issues. No spin outs, etc.

if your on a budget...block ups work well. I have the opas blocked up & the ski is less squirrely especially in the rough.
Like Lafjax said, you can make your own out of PVC.

I think that missing turning while idle is not a big deal...just give it some throttle rofl

Agreed with block ups there is still some functionality from the OPAS.

Sure, but I you might think about not taking off the part bolted on the ski. It's a little trouble to put it back. If you take it completely off it is much more trouble to put it back on. I do not have mine on anymore and only use the simple riva blockoffs. Idle control is still good, just a little different feeling. I don't miss them anymore.
