    2004 GTX sc 185HP

I have decided to keep my wifes GTX SC 185HP. I have already put a Riva stage 1 plus a Rotax Racing fan and steel washers. I would like to get another few mph out of it to keep up or beat her friends RXT. Whats next?

    OH, the list is long...
    for starters:
    2005 RXP/RXT stock ecu.
    Knock sensor harness adapter
Rotax racing fuel pressure regulator 58psi.
    Riva air filter kit.
aftermarket intercooler or RXP/RXT stock intake manifold with stock IC.
12/20 solas prop, keep the stock intake grate, on average they work best...
change those stock spark plugs to IXU27`s now that you have a little more boost and added heat.
get rid of the factory rubber exhaust hose, at minimum a free flow or PPG power pipe, best solution is a thru hull.

    install RE block offs.
install 2 degree wedge if you weigh 175 or less and ride solo, or install 2.5 degree wedge if you ride 2 up or weigh over 175-200...

we can show you how to plumb seperate cooling system using the OPAS port for an intercooler.
    Groco stariner highly reccommended...
These are some of the things you`ll need just to stay close...

PR, do you find the 12/20 better than the 13/20r in the Riva Stage I?

Also, if you consider the 8100 ECU, also seriously consider the 14/19r impeller, RXT driveshaft and 215 wear ring. As I appriciate it, the 8100 ECU will "overpower the 13/20.

    It's running 7600 RPM at 67 mph.

is that GPS? if so then that is right on target, 7600 is soft limit, 7650 is maxxed.

I knew the consensus was more prop selection going to the heavier shaft and 159mm pump. I really don`t have any experience with that set up as i ran the skat 16\21 and the 12\20. The 3 blade skat 16\21 kicked arse with the 8150-8200 rpm limit... max GPS speed was 69.8, just could not get it to 70., but 68.2-69.1 was the average norm for the mods I had in the 04.

I understand people are having rpm loss with the 12\20 with the stage one, possibly due to incorrect or out of the box pitch. I`ve heard good things about dave over at IMPRO`s and encourage people to have them tailor your prop wether it is the 12\20 or the 13\20, but trial and error comes first and get some baseline numbers...

I neglected to test each and every part bc some work in conjunction with one another to gain maximum benefit. the end results were satisfying...
just have to remember what ya have and what it`s limits are...

I currently have the 13/20r from the Stage I. It has 1.25mm added to the trailing edge for a best of 67.4. I will be attempting the driveshaft, 14/19, and ECU in a few weeks. I will update info in "JPEConsult's 185 build" thread.

although I like the SS wear ring, it`s not debris or rock friendly. unfortunately a rock killed a good prop that I had. later on I purchased an 06 pump and install the 155mm wear ring...
you have a good handle on things, more R`s = more speed, it would be curious to note what speed your getting with the 13\20 with ecu before you remove it.
