Turbo Rxp-x Yes I Am Doing It

Despite All Of The Buck Issue's I Am Building A Mild Turbo Rxp-x. It Will Feature My Black Magic Header Along With A Turbo Adapter That Is Completely Jacketed Even At The Wastegate. This Whole Kit Will Be Available Soon In The Store Minus The Turbo And Wastegate. Tommorow I Will Have All The Pipeing Done And The Turbo Completely Functional.

As Far As The Buck I Have An Idea That I Think Will Work Perfect, But Will Not Say Until It Has Been Tested. My Goal Is To Have It Finished By Next Weekend. And It Will.

Sweet. I really believe the key to long-term turbo PWC reliability is fully jacketing all the hot parts. If only we could figure out how to jacket the turbine snail. . . (August project )

    Jay,
what kind of bucking? Have you measured the pump pressure?

Can I ask a general question, without the drama of reprisal for my ignorance, but.....

When you (or anyone) goes form OE S/C to Turbo, is this a plug and play operation, or are there other aspects of the engine internals (piston compression, valve train, cam, injectors etc.) which must also be updated or beefed up (as in ARP fasteners) to handle the output of the forced induction ?
    Just asking

    Dave

The beauty of converting to turbo's on any OEM forced induction engine is that it's already built for big boost. The pistons are already forged, rods already forged, crank already forged, big fuel pump, ECU that reads boost, etc. . . I wouldn't really call it plug-and-play due to all the work that goes into the turbo piping, but as far as the engine is concerned, little to nothing needs to be done to it.

Take a look at the '03/'04 Mustang Cobra's. They come from the factory running around 10 psi boost from a roots blower, but you can swap it out for twin turbo's and run 20+ psi and make 800+ hp on the stock engine.
