    best prop for 2005 rxt??

    I currently have the 14/17 installed that came with the stage I kit.
    Can I use a 15/19?
    I am only seeing 7750 rpms. max rpms was 7850/7900. Shouldn't I be seeing around 8100/8150?

    Hmmm...stage 1 kit....3" air? If so build a better one.

    A 15/19 I'd think was too tall for your set up.

    It's summer time...the heat may be affecting your ski.

    You could take out a mm or two from the prop....but you'll probably end up putting them back when the weather cools off.

    Yep 15/19 is way to much for your apps.Like Va said take out or decrease some pitch in your 14/17 and youll get your RPMS to were you want them.Here is a link on how to pitch the props:

    I had similar setup as you when I bought my ski and was seeing same RPM as you. Dont go taller impeller you will lose more RPM. If you havent already, do the free flow exhaust or rear exhaust and water box mod. That should bring your RPMs up a little. Also you dont want to go over 8100 with stock ECU, you will start to actually lose power.

    Thanks! Check this thread out http://www.greenhulk.net/forums/showthread.php?t=21055 Although it was old when started it was brought back. Hope to have a gathering this upcomming weekend. I wanted to have my J pipe flared and prop repitched by then to gain another 1+ MPH, but dont think I am going to have time so I guess I'll have to be riding near the limiter which I know is bad, especially for the exhaust manifold flange.
