Engine Rebuild: What would you upgrade? Valves? Springs?
2004 - GTX/SC with about 100 hours on it: I have a blown motor that I am rebuilding - either by purchasing a used motor and building it back up or rebuilding from scratch my motor.
If you had a motor that was torn down, or partially torn down (top half), what would you upgrade? Questions:
1. I know the OEM valves on the '04 - '05 were chronic failures, so that's a given - what would you replace them WITH? What valves are best to put in for durability - I don't necessarily need boosted HP...just reliability.
2. Pistons? Any issues with the stock pistons in the Seadoo '04 GTX? It's a major job to pull these out and upgrade them, but with the engine out of the hull, it's the best time if that is suggested.
3. Anything else???
