    Is 58.5 MPH right?

Not really into top speed, just curious... Took the GPS out this morning... i had 1 washer under each front rideplate bolt.... I will bring some more next weekend and shim it to see what is does... so close to 60... what difference will the 5 degree nozzle make?
    thanks
    chris

60mph is 100km/h. I am only getting about 94km/h out of mine atm. Although my impeller and wear-ring are stuffed, but i do have a 1300 engine in it.

To get a top speed shim the front of the plate just don't shim to the point of the plate hanging below the shoe on the sides, And no shims in the back. But that set up does not work well when having two to three people on ski. The 5 degree nozzle is good for 1 mph. but the same thing not good when you have other riders on ski.

Thanks Jim... I was wanting to see where the plate gets the most speed , and still be able to switch the shims for my normal 3 up riding... so the 5 degree is bad with 3 up riding? dang...
    thanks again

Well, the gpr nozzle gave me the 1 mph, as advertised so I am @ 59.5 with a full tank. Ran half a tank out and will change the shims for next saturday. I will run it tilll its on the buzzer... Any guesses how many mph difference from full to empty.
    Thanks
    Chris

Hit 62.6 mph GPS this morning... 1/4 tank and superman, slight bounce, had 3 washers under each front rideplate bolt... I will be rebuilding the carbs and adding FA this fall also. looking at adding a milled head, next year, anything I else I should do? What type of gains should I expect?
    Thanks

I am about to start a project in a few minutes. Rebuild carbs, rejet (125 mains, 110 pilots, 1.5ns 95 springs) install K&N FAs, D-plate and chip, primer kit, remove acc pump. I have nozzle, impeller, pump seal kit, intake grate, ride plate to install as well but I am waiting for a pump shoe before I install those items. Hopefully I will get the pump shoe by next weekend so I can take it out. Can't wait!!!

BTW STL I hope to achieve those speeds. I, too, will be happy!
