    Carbone seal out at 40 hrs?

    Ok I was riding yesterday testing out Jims closed loop plate and a 14/19 solas and I came to a stop to do a holeshot and when I went to take off I cavitated like a mother**** My first instinct was that after reinstalling the grate I' had lost the inserts. How ever after limping back to shore and then trailering the ski I discover the hull is 1/3 full of water , so of course I check for loose hoses and find none, Carbon seal is now crap. So I now have two questions.

    1. What parts besides the carbon ring do I need to replace?

    2. Will and out of ballance prop eat up a Carbon ring?

    Darth, I think you would most def feel an out of balance prop to some extent. check your motor mounts...
    some peeps will tell you that you could get away with just replacing the carbone ring, but i say screw it and get the supporting ring as well and re-use the C clip...
    check the tension on the accordian boot as well...

    bought a rule 1100 auto bilge pump today. That carbon is stupid.
