Intake grate... loose top end or asset?
Basically.. I wanted to know those of you who have the an AFTERMARKET intake grate(riva,r&d) how do you like it? was it worth it? I primarilly ride in chop but have the blessed occasion to ride on glass.. I dont race. I'm wondering if this is something that i should do or not do.

For speed and rec riding then I would say save the money and enjoy your ski. The intake can rob some speed in the glass but help maintain higher numbers in the rough.

I just spent the last 2 hrs on your site.. I have some work to do on my ski.. I was looking at your site to help me though it.
I was thinking the same thing the grate would be nice, but i think that since i'm not racing i will need all the top end i can muster. thanks..

Riva sells the R&D grate.
You are between stock,R&D and TBM.

Thanks for the reply.. I think i'll stay withe stock grate for the time being. I think that it might slow me down I dont want to spend a lot of money making it faster then get the grate and then make it slowere again.. kinda like One step back and 2 steps back!
thanks for the reply though.

Good call. You really don't need more hook-up with the Ultra at the expense of losing speed. This ski already had the best rough water hook-up in the industry.
