Occasional low end bog??
This is on my raider with stock compression, VF3, and a gp1200 carbs and intake mani. I forget the jetting, but it runs great. PW looks great. Problem is that every now and then, it will have a nasty lean bog when I punch it. it's not consistent at all either. I can't get it to happen ion cammand. it's totally random.
I thought it was the check valves in the fuel pumps, but they are fine, at least this time. The only thing that looks off is the actual fuel pump membranes look like they may be stretched?

my guess is trash in filter buckets or low speed jets-are you using a paper filament fuel filter?

carbs are spotless and its a yamaha filter. most of the time if you look at the throttle it will shoot out from under you if your not carefull

Mike a bog is a sign of a lean condition...I have you checked the reeds lately.

I have not checked the reeds, but plan to since I'm half way there. BUT, i have had a ski with bad reeds and it was lazy all the time. this will rip your arms off and then out of nowhere just act like someone shut off the gas. . . Almost like it may be crap in the carbs. . . I'll dig a little deeper.
