    HOW-TO: Seadoo Post Ride Procedure

I am new to the ski world and I wanted opinions as to the post ride procedure for your skis. I just bought an 08 Seadoo GTI SE 155 and I have 4 hours on it. Just wondering what everyone does to theirs right after riding it as far as draining, etc. Suggestions?

    Thanks

    Post Ride Procedure...

Run the engine on trailer for no more than 10 seconds to get water out, rinse them off and towel 'em down to avoid water spots. PWC are EASY and fun. Don't mess with the drain plugs leave them in and your ski should stay dry if you keep it in the garage. Check your oil before you ride.

    Post ride procedure

Here's what I do and why after salt water riding:
    1. Open all compartments and remove storage containers and seat
    2. Lightly hose out all areas
    3. Dump homer bucket of sudsy water over engine - after the trip home so it's cooled a little
    4. Pull drain plugs
    5. Rinse out all inside areas like engine compartment
    6. Lift trailer tongue until hull has drained
    7. Re - install drain plugs
    8. Close compartment lids and install seat
    9. Wash the machine
    10. Store it with the seat off and storage buckets out and lids open, otherwise engine heat will cause condensation and maybe corrosion

if your parking it in a garage its best to leave ALL compartment open till the next time you ride..

A closed up ski, especially one under a cover in the sun will SMELL awfully bad within a year. like dead fish and mold

Its gotta breathe and dry out completely each time you ride.
other then that theres not really anything you need to worry about.
fill it with fuel and enjoy riding the new ski.

P.S. if someone says they "never rode a ski before" then DON'T LET YOURS BE THE FIRST....

9 outa 10 times damage to crafts are from other people riding the ski, not the owner..
