You should be turning more RPMs than that if still have the true 14/20

It depends on the heat and humity too. I was out yesterday and I was down 150 rpms just from just 3 weeks ago. I think 97gp sleeper was too.

You might also look at your pump show to make sure it is ok; this can scrub big speed.

i looked at the pump and it's fine. maybe it's the heat. it was like 90 degrees yesterday.

Is this the ski you were racing Pistonwash with? Did you lose the speed since then? If so, what has been done to the ski since then?

yes it is the ski that raced pistonwash. my old setup i ran 69.9 @ 7080 and since then i installed VF3's, speed plate with angle at 5 degrees and i have one of my head hoses dumping overboard.

Maybe the VF3's didn't seal up well when installed. This seems to be a problem for some people. For a reference I ran 73.1 mph with these mods at 7180ish rpms in the heat.

    FF Plate
    800 Grate
    14/20 DY
    2005 Pump
    Jetworks
    VF3 Reeds
    D-Plate (opened up .110)
    EFI controller

What did the speed plate replace? Oem or regular R&D plate. If R&D plate, was it ground and angled? If angled, what measurement? i.e. 0.950"
