Anyone know alternatives to traditional driveway sealer?
The whole front of the house was redone years back with brickwork and walkway and stoop, driveway apron and brick borders and such within the asphalt driveway...
now, the blacktop is starting to get pretty weathered. When they put down the new driveway, we asked the guys how often to seal it, and they said avoid it as long as you can! and we did... but it's starting to look ugly...
hate to just smear the usual blacktop sealer over it though bc it looks way too slick and ugly and starts to turn that greyish black / blue-ish weird color... not that nice jet black fresh textured blacktop look
are there any alternatives out on the market that can withstand traffic from the cars for a reasonable about of time?
been doing some google searching and they have some metacrylics and polymers and BS stuff... figured i'd ask if anyone had first hand experience with something OTHER than the guy that drives around with buckets of sealer and a squegee and broom and smears it all over your driveway and throws up a caution string

Try this guy's web site.
He hosts a national home repair radio show, he seems to really know his stuff.
