    Dead Gauges (Meter Assy)

    Hello All!

I'm hoping that someone has experience with the digital gauge cluster on a 2000 1200SUV, or similar ski.

    Here's the issue:

    - The engine starts and runs fine
    - None of the gauges read anything when the ski is running
    - The Dash Unit is NOT dead. I can unplug the blue connector and reset to Padlock pin and run a full LCD diagnostic. (All the gauges cycle, it reads Welcome to Waverunner, etc)
    - I tried another unit from a working ski, same issue
    - When the ski is off, I can press the Option button and the screen says START.

How does the Meter Assembly know when the ski is running? My only guess is that it's not getting THAT signal somehow. I have the manual, with wiring diagrams, but I'm no electrician. I can't seem to see what would be causing this particular issue.

    Thanks in advance!!

It "wakes up" when it gets AC voltage from the stator assembly. (green wire) This is also used for the tach signal.

    Hrmmm...

Any idea why the green wire wouldn't be sending anything to the gauges?
I'll try to get a multi-meter to check it out tomorrow.

I've attached a copy of the wiring diagram. Does anyone know what is represented by the candy-corn and cylinders? (I've circled them on the diagram)

    Thanks!
