gp1200 carb problem
Hey, today while dissasembling my carburators i think i might have found my problem. ok when i first when i start my ski i cant seem to get it to idle i have to keep it above 4tho just to keep her running, even at that rpm after about thirty seconds or so it stumbles and dies any way, i was hoping it was because the previous owner winterrized it but i have had no luck, after pulling the carbs i have noticed they are very clean like some one just rebuilt them, only one of the carbs had some gunk in the strainer. the weird thing is that they were previously rebuilt as mikuni 38s (using one gasket and a o ring on the pump side) when when i thought they were mikuni 44s (using two gaskets and a diferent gasket on the inside of the pump) if you dont see what i mean check out the mikuni rebuild assembly guide i have attached to the thread, also should i change my jet now that i have these all appart? i have riva flame arestors and primer kit, and also switching to premix, curent jeting is 135 mains,100 pilot,1.2 n/s

They are supposed to be 44's. Measure the throats with a dial caliper to confirm what you have. If you have 44's, you do not need to rejet for your mods, just richen the adjusment screws.

Jetting specs are a little whacky too, for the mods you have...
