    Magnum pump & 2 piece driveshaft???

    Does anyone run the XP magnum pump with the 2 piece coupled driveshaft?

    How much better is the accelleration/hook-up?

    Any loss in top end?

    I have one, the hook up is awesome, I don't close course, but I ride in a very rough lake with 2-3ft X chop. I thought I lost about 1mph with it, but it turned out the ski was having an issue so I don't know if it was the pump or just the start of my issue. I have not tried the pump since then and it has been sitting on the shelf. Thought about selling at one time then thought I should give it another try...

    thanks, is that on an RXP or RXT?

    Do you have the XP driveshaft pump or the newer RXP driveshaft pump?

    it was on a RXP i have the RR XPL style 2 piece drive shaft (uses xpl props)

    well its a bit backwards but on my XPL conversion i started off with the 12 vein skat then ended up switching to a rxp pump.

    I found the RXP 4tec pump hooked up WAY better on the XPL conversion and I gain 3 MPH with the RXP pump over the skat..

    IMO don't do it..

    I am looking at getting a Skat magnum that bolts up to the stock driveshaft that is 159mm in comparison to the 155 xp pump.

    My RXP pump hits the limiter at least 3 times from a dead stop at the moment, the wear ring is good and I have a seadoo centre drivehaft seal which is why i'm thinking of going to the 14 vane magnum, i've heard this will solve the problem.

    Anyone got one?

    now im confused, are you talking about the 2 piece driveshaft with the xp 155 "old school pump" setup..

    if its the hookup your looking for get the 14 vein scat made for the RXP and use the OEM driveshaft, NOT the 2 piece driveshaft setup.

    I was originally asking about the 2 piece driveshaft set-up before i knew about the RXP magnum.

    I'm now going to go for the RXP magnum but wondering if anyone on the boards has one and their experiences????
