water in #3 cylinder: why?
Hey guys,need some help here,
I just put in a new piston kit,and had my #3 cylinder re nickesealed,
new base gasket and head gasket. I also had some dings taken out of the head (riva). Put everything back togeather last night.Compression was 150#
cold. The ski stated up fine on the trailer.
I put the ski in the water this afternoon, started it up on the trailer, ran bad then quit.I pulled it out of the water, pulled the plugs, cranked it over and had a bunch of water coming out of #3,#1&2 had no water coming out.
My ski has riva heads&a girdle kit on it.I torqued the cylinder to 26 pounds and the head to 16 pounds. This is what Riva recommended.I did not put any grease or gasket material on the head gasket or base gasket. From what I understand if using new gaskets, you don't need anything else.
Anybody have any ideas where the water is coming from?
Thanx.in advance for any help

its come up from time to time that the base gasket was on the wrong way round, which causes the water to flow into cylinders...
