    Intake Grate Question

I operate in an environment with lots of seaweed. Everyone I know is constantly getting off and pulling seaweed. The problem is getting through the no wake zones. Once I'm out, and have the intake clear, my ski will just go right over the stuff. I have been noticing that there are a lot of aftermarket intake grates available on the net, and was wondering if they would lessen the amount of time in the water pulling seaweed from the intake. Thanks in advance for your expertise!

If seaweed is in your impeller and up around your shaft, then a different intake grate isn't gonna do anything. Best i can say unfortunately is to steer carefully around the seaweed in the no wake zones and gun it when your not going slow.
