    1300R #3 Cylinder/Piston Rebuild Questions

Friend bought an 03 GPR with f'd up #3 piston AND cylinder. Bought a used replacement with matching piston and rings. Put it back together, left washers out as they were warped. Done with 1200R's and never had an issue with it though its supposed to leave a little more side to side movement in the piston which might lead to shorter lifespan, is what I understand.

Is it 32 ft. lbs. torque on the 4 cylinder bolts ?

With the head off, should the driveshaft (jet pump is still hooked up) turn without any resistance? It will start turning then stop. If you play with it for a second, it will start turning smoothly again. This normal?

    Advice always appreciated!

seen some folks run without the washers, but not me...

32ft lbs is what I torque them to

should spin free... may be hanging in the bendix, or the prop may be touching the liner a bit... turn it the other way and see (counterclockwise)

    Advice always appreciated!
