    Engine Carnage

So I bought another GPR this week as a project ski... I purchased it knowing it had a blown engine. The previous owner brought it to a shop and said "It was running kind of rough and wouldn't start once I shut it off." I cant figure out why Got oil?

The only things from the engine that are useable is the cases, 2 cylinders, 3 power valves and ironically enough the oil pump. The head looks like it was hit by buck shot... Anyone have a 1300 head used?

It wasnt underwater but somewhere along the line the crank case was half full of water... And the crank seals were good

Good luck. Every project I have done has cost more than buying a running ski. I hope you got it cheap. Of course I did update everything on the projects while working on them.

I know the feeling, my first motor that I had lasted about 4 hours. It had a starter that looked like it had been on the ocean floor for years. I was shocked when I saw what the inside of the cases etc. looked like once opened. Best part of it is now you get to build it just like you want and you will know that it was done right.. Good luck with your project Bro.
