    New Impeller Installation

Hey guys I got a question on my new Solas impeller that im gonna install when it comes. Roost told me that the Solas impeller doesnt have the wrench thing like the stock impellers do so you have to buy a impeller changer from solas well i was thinking that since it is reverse thread wouldnt the engine torque it down since it spins counter clockwise? That is what we did when we put the coupler back on the crank. Also is there a easy way to hold the driveshaft without getting a driveshaft holder? I dont feel like having to wait for both the shaft holder and impeller changer to come...

You need to torque it down to be snug. The impeller comes with the tool to install it, just not the drive shaft holder tool.

Well I didnt get it from solas I bout it from roost5o so it wont come with one. So what you mean by getting it snug is that as long as I get it nice and tight by hand then the force of water going by it will do the rest?

In the instructions from solas you need to get it tighter than that. You are going to need the tool for sure.

I think newer impellers may come with the appropriate tools but when I bought mine I got nothing and I bought it from a dealer. I never ordered the tools because I never installed the impeller.

Riva has more listed on their site. If it is listed on riva's site you can ask Jerry to add it.

RT I thought that I remembered correctly. You will need WR004 (wrench) and WR004H (shaft holder). These are Solas part numbers.
