Why No High Boost SC Wheels?

How come no one makes any High Boost SC Wheels?? I mean like 15psi+. Can the Engine or SC not handle it? What's the deal?

I know Piranha has their 15psi Monster, but I ain't spending damn near $3k on it.

I'd like to see a 15psi+ Wheel & Spacer for either the regular OEM Charger or the X Charger.

...and also, is the Rude Charger upgradable with better Wheels, or it "is what it is"?

It is a space problem. We are running out of room in the stock housing's

So that's why some companies are starting to machine the inside of the Housings? To make room for the bigger Wheels?

Yes, And adding spacers but I think you can only go so far and also the bigger the wheel the harder it is on our already somewhat troublesome clutches, bearings, and gears. It is to bad we cannot just add a bigger flywheel and smaller charger gear to overdrive the charger.

So then the moral of the Story is, if you want a High Boost Motor, you gotta make the big switch over to a Turbo?

Exactly! There is no problem making 17-18 psi out of our current superchargers but the limiting factor is the shitty supercharger clutch we have to contend with. Remember, the more boost we make the higher stresses we put on the clutch.

Belt driven would probably give you a better chance for the high #'s but nobody has sucsessfully pulled it off on these ski's yet..

Ok, just got this thought...what if you were to weld everything on the SC Shaft, so it's essentially 1 piece and there was no Clutch Slippage? Would the SC just spin to high hell and grenade?

It's been tried and if you lock up the clutch one or two things happen

    1) the gear grenades
    2) the shaft simply snaps in half

the clutch is a necessary evil
