    Opinions on XL800

There is a 01 XL800 on craigslist. Listed as "2001 XL800 YAMAHA Wave Runner--3 seater---fewer than 70 original hours. LIKE NEW and a much better price. Includes a WESCO galvanized trailer with fewer than 200 miles on it and a full YAMAHA cover. This is a beautiful Jet Ski-starts and runs great". I have an Ulra LX and need a second ski so I can go riding with the wife and 2 kids. I was going to get a 15F but money is real tight right now, maybe next year. Anyone got opinions on this. TIA

They need a few mod's like the powervalve saftey items , and the carbs are hard to access but I don't see a lot of posters having any more issues than
    other crafts

It wont set the world on fire but is decent Ski for the family. Make sure the power valves havent done their worst. Take it for a water test. The stops for the power valves can wear and allow the valves to contact the pistons. I had one customer that used his for a SKi Tow. He got to put an engine in when the oil pump broke off the engine.. The 800 Shakes like a Harley.

A fun little ski... It won't kill your kids, and it will get you around nicely. You can mod it a bit... and make is QUICK out of the hole.
