yep a concrete pad is what you need, i think you can use like gravel or something.. but the concrete pad is the best... (we have a hottub and we went through the process of helping our friends just get one)

I have a Vita Spa which i would highly recommend. This is much better than Hot Springs it replaced, while being more affordable and with a better warranty too. While a member of Costco, i do not know who make their tubs. I would be concerned with who will service it in the future if and when ya have a problem no matter what brand you buy.

You don't need a concrete pad but it is the best option. A enclosure is a cool but sometimes expensive option, and I can be torn on it, when it 30 degrees outside you want that steamy air to stay around you, but it is also awesome to sit in the hot water and stare at the stars too.

As for costco, I don't know, I bought a Morgan Spa because they are well established here and its easy to get parts, and you are going to need parts. Its kind of like a two stroke ski that doesn't go anywhere

The costco tub is a good tub, but I asked who does the service, and its the local tub dealer who does it. I ended up buying from him, since he flat out told me his customers who purchase from him will get service before the ones who did not (ie:costco)

My tub is now 5 years old, I have replaced the circ pump, seals on the pump, main board, and the pressure switch(x2). Only once was it in extreme cold(-40) where service time was an issue. Once you understand how your tub works, its never an issue.

Personally, for my next one, I will buy the Costco tub.

I personally wouldn't get a Gazeebo. The best part of having a spa is being in it during the rain and on clear nights looking at the stars

With a screen name like two2corrupt my guess is he and his wife are swingers... the gazeebo is to keep neighbors prying eyes from seeing all the naked bodies in the hottub......
