    First Ride on 2006 RXT

Got back a little while ago from my first time driving my dad's RXT and pretty much what I can say is "WOW"!! Barnegat Bay was pretty rough. Most of the time, my dad was on shore was on shore and I was riding around in a cove. Later on, my dad got on the back and we went into a very calm back channel with Captain Ron and our neighbor. In that back channel with my dad on the back, I revved the ski to 8020 RPM for a short time for a max GPS speed of 61 MPH. After the calm channel, we made our way back home. Unfortunately, there was a strong headwind and we were getting thrown around a little bit. But still, that machine is awesome!!

Actually, for more than half the time, my dad was floating in the water really close to shore while I was goin back and forth in the cove a million times. In the cove, I was able to rev the ski to around my best of about 7400 RPM before I turned around and went back to my dad. BTW, when we were going to the cove, I used the learner key, where I was on the 5000 RPM limiter almost the whole time . Then my dad got off and handed over the regular DESS key. Also, the bay water is warm , the ocean is freezing.

Unless your dad is REALLY BIG, there's something wrong with your RXT...

I suspect it might have more to do with a timid right thumb

well also, your GTXL has a lot more mods than my dad's RXT. the RXT has a Vortech SC wheel, Riva Power Air Filter, Metal Washers (DUH!!!), and RE blockoffs. And, I had the ski at WOT for maybe 10-20 seconds to get 61 MPH.

That ski is nice. I can't wait till I can ride it whenever I want next year. Even in the rough chop it had a good ride. Right now I'm in the Bahamas and I've seen the rental skis and they are nothing compared to the skis that are on this site. There is even a guy with a yacht here in Atlantis that has 2 GTXs in a small garage in the back of his yacht
