    homemade free flow question

ive seen people using metal exhaust pipe or pvc to make a free flow exhaust. but there seems to be a common problem with backpressure. so i was thinking maybe take a d-plate and cut it to fit (maybe make a larger "d" hole too) and welding it inside the pipe to produce some backpressure but still have a cool sound. do you think it could work? would it be too much back pressure? i really dont know just an idea i had

I' neresting idea. . I'd try a hose clamp on the hose first. just start choking it down while you are on the water and see what happens. that way you don't spend all the time on the metal fab and can't go backwards if you need to.

I've been thinking about something like this too, just hadnt thought about how to implement it

Quick question for the DIY FF guys, do you know any place to buy a rubber coupling so that I dont have to cut my stock hose? Also, what are the chances of PVC melting?
