    Prop Torque Spec

I changed out my prop and wear ring and I read the prop torque spec was 59 ft lbs. I torqued it to that but I can still spin the prop by hand. I read most guys tighten it until they can't turn it. Do I need to tighten it more?

ok, assuming that you had the prop tool mounted in a vice or a means to hold the 12mm allen socket. Yes hold one end and torque to 59ftlbs. Now the impeller is properly torqued on the impeller shaft. Yes, with just the pump assy in your hands you will still be able to spin/rotate the impeller bc there are bearings in the pump.

According to the factory service manual the correct torque spec for the impeller is 125N.m(92lbf.ft)

I remember that thread and I believe the person meant he tightened the 12 mm fastener until he couldn't turn it anymore (he was using a standard breaker bar, not a torque wrench). This would put it near the 92 ft lb needed to properly secure it. But the impeller will turn... and should

I usually go for an even 100 ft lb

Yes you are correct, look at the year
59ftlbs is the smaller 155mm pump for 04-05
