    Bouncing Way To Much

    After I Put Jim's Rideplate Mod On My Ski Is Bouncing Way To Much On The Top End. Is There A Cure For It

    Add 30 thousands shims in the back of the plate.

    That sounds like a lot of work work for some bounce. You would have to remove the ridplate again to shim it right?

    No, just the back two bolts.

    Thats not bad then. Would that hurt your speed?

    Whta hurts speed is when you are unhooking from the water.

    No, it will help you because it will stop the bounce.

    do you have RE blocloffs?
    They cured my bounce/porpoise on the topend with the modded plate. I also shimmed rear of plate with shims from mcmaster.com (25 thou)

    I shimmed mine with with .2mm thick shims (4) on each rear bolt. Comes out to about .032... Have yet to try it but am hoping for the best.

    i went to brian house from bttek1 and he put 2 .37 washers on the back of the ride plate. it to him about 15mins and it ride like a cadillac. Jim was right on the money.

    yes i have r/e block offs
