Aqua step on 01 Seadoo GTX

have a quick question..I bought a New unused Aqua Step on Craigslist. I have the step, hinges etc. but did not have any bolts or AVK inserts. I really don't know which I need to use? I looked at their website but no real help I was looking inside of the seadoo and I don't see how I could possible use bolts and way to get to the nuts in the back cavity of the boat or are the holes tapped?. So I assume I would use AVK inserts..any help or knowledge would be appreciated..

tap drill holes into the ski, tap the fiberglass. it will hold threads in the transom. another option is to pilot drill through and use some self tapping hex screws. seals well around the face of the AS brackets and the screw itself. it will seal just fine.

be sure you go small enough that the thread geta good bite. threaded part should be 1/4" or 5/16", whateveer is the biggest size that will fit in the AS moutn holes. USe stainless hardware and use flat washers with lock washers.
