So with 7 hours on it

I was on a lake this weekend with some nice water.
Cluster says 7 hours and i was able to get 8060 RPM
out of it.Speedo says 70 for what its worth.

I was told that the ECU pulls timing above 8000,Is this true?

I guess it doesnt matter much as i am NOT looking for anymore top speed.

Im gonna doe Jawz setup to get more acceleration.

From what i have read you should set up the impeller
to keep the RPM at a certain point,What RPM is it?

On the X models you want to run a solid 8000 RPM's. Anything higher than that and the ECU pulls timing.

Thanks,So when i do the upgrade i should do my best to be sure it keeps
the rpm right at or below 8000.

    How does that affect performance?

My sources informed me that the most power is made at 8000 RPM's. Any higher than that timing is reduced aggressively and HP drops off. There is also a hard rev limiter on the X models which is set at 8200.

Isn't the rev limiter on the regular x and p's set at 8200? So max power is at 8000 and not 8200 on the t/p-x's?

Max power on the X models is 8000

Max power on non X models (215 HP units) is at 8100
