Ski Fest 2006 pics.....
Well I headed out to Lovers Key for the 2006 Ski Fest. Weather was terrible on the way there as you can see, and up there it was no difference. Got there Friday, went riding for about an hour and left to Cape Coral. Went back on Saturday, definately more ski movement around. Day was pretty dark, cloudy and around 80 deg. The sky was sprinkling a bit which is not fun going at 60+mph It was kinda fun going through the mangroves not knowing what the next curve brought Almost slammed into a few of those mangroves a few times Needless to say I thought I would never find my way back. But I have to say those people really know their way around.
Did not get a chance to meet fernyusmc from the forum since there was so many people. Saw Vladimir from PPG and his crew. Had a decent time, too bad the weather really sucked
Only a few pics though, did not want to ruin my camera since it was sprinkling so much.

I rode Friday, Saturday and 1/2 Sunday. The weather was windy enough that you could not ride the gulf and We did try Friday, damm my legs were sore after that. My wife got splashed by what We think was red tide and lost Her vision for a short time. After several fresh water rinses and a shower, Her eyesight came back. It happened to several people also. So needless to say the riding was restricted to the mangroves and the backcountry. But with over 75 ski's showing up it was quite exciting positioning yourself ahead of the pack and riding behind the leaders while sea of white foam was behind you. Of course the 4tech equiped ski's was the quickest and always up front with the leaders. One waverunner in the mangroves lauched Himself 10' into them and it took 5 guys to extract Him. It is always funny to see a ski 4' above the water and the great thing was that He only suffered a few minor scratchs. This was my 3rd year and it was awesome. The only real rain was at night and the clouds were welcome because it cooled everything down. GEORXT, I did see Fernando and talked to Him for a few minutes. There was a good showing from the Naples, Tampa and Spacecoast ski clubs. Thanks to TJ, Todd for leading and organizing the rides and everybody for being so friendly which made the weekend even better. I will be there next year. Now I am off to Lake Lanier this Saturday for more adventures. Yee Haw!!!!!

Well on Saturday right before noon before everyone went to eat I was riding with all of them. Sure kept myself in the front of the pack leaving everyone behind! My girl was screaming like a maniac.
