    Waste gate block off?

Been watchin ya'll on this site for a while. Learned a lot bout my ski. But now I'm finally getting the mod bug as I am a damn gearhead that cant leave well enough alone. I was wondering what your experiences were with blocking off tha waste gate. Ive got a RED 07 and this is the first engine mod Im looking at, good idea or not? I did find a thread on a guy that blew his engine last year and everyone blamed that for it, but it was so riddled with opinion didnt know what to make of it. Thanks for your help. -Jesse

Yeah you'll have to forgive me I'm a heavy duty mechanic and always relate things to that, sorry for the wrong terminoligy. I think you guys refer to it as a Blow Off Valve? And yes its an 07 Ultra 250

Thats it. Its located on the back side of the intercooler.
The valve on the front side is called the relief valve.
BOV's are notorious for leaking boost before they are designed too, blocking them off will not hurt the engine at all.

There are about 5 Ultra's in our group here in So Fl. Many of us have
blocked off the BOV valve on the Intercooler. Some did it over a year
ago. Absolutely no issues so far...........

I noticed a nice boost (pun intended) in performance by blocking it
and the valve covers. I also took the hose off the relief valve (vacuum controlled) and put a KN filter on it. That way the hot air when you're
idling and coming off throttle isn't directed back to the intake.

These mods are only for "professionals" do 'em at your own risk!

put your air ducting back on the relief valve then poke it up the rear vent tube as far as possible cable tie in place, raise the rear seat as high as possible, get the hot air out of the hull, plus you get a little venturi effect and help suck some of the hot air out.
